The Royal Society for protection of nature is pleased to declare the names of the winnser for the essay titled, "Environmental Conservation in Bhutan - Legacy of Monarchy".

Instructors from 13 Non Formal Centres (NFE) under the Wang Watershed Management Program (WWMP) attended a three day workshop which was intended to accustom the participants with the Community Watershed Management manual. The workshop, which took place at Lango, Paro, provided an opportunity for the participants to get engaged in various activities like environmental games, natural resource and watershed mapping, etc. They also conducted water quality test in the nearby stream. The water quality test is an important aspect of the environmental education program to gauge the pollution level and this has led the participants to practically understand the cause of pollution.
