The Citizen's Initiative for Coronation and Centenary Celebrations (CICCC) dedicated a week  from 19th November 2008 for the theme "Keep Bhutan Green".  Her Royal Highness Ashi Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck opened the event at the CICCC ground.

In commemoration of 100 years of Monarchy with farsighted conservation stewardship and Coronation of His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, National Environment Commission launched a report titled " Bhutan Environment Outlook, 2008" along with a audio-visual based Clean Bhutan awareness and educational material.
