A meeting was called by Dasho Nado Rinchhen, Deputy Minister of Environment on 16th January 2007 at Secretariat of the National Environment Commission (NEC) where officials from Department of Forest, Nature Conservation Division and NEC was present. The main issue discussed was on the proposal to hold a joint High- Level Team visit to Pho-Chu and Puna-Tsangchu areas in Punakha on 17 January 2007 and to get an overview of the situation and analysis of the auctioned sand and boulder quarry lots and particularly the habitat of the White-Bellied Heron.
