Whose responsibility is it to maintain one's surrounding clean? 2 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi to all readers of this article,

I wanted to just express my views on the opinion poll conducted by RSPN.

The question itself is very thought provoking and and all people must take it very seriously.

We Bhutanese people have a tendency of thinking that the full responsibility to keep the surrounding or environment clean is concerned authorities job. We always think that we pay service taxes for such job, which on the other hand is not at all.

Therefore, each and every Bhutanese must understand that one or two agencies can't succeed in keeping the whole Kingdom clean all time. We must take it as an indivudual responsibilty. We must never think that one's small action can't make any difference. Every small contribution from individuals is worth for any agencies in trying to solve the sate problem in the country.

Indeed, we must applaud for the initiatives taken by RSPN with other stake holders in declaring November 1 as Clean Bhutan Day.

Lets be united in every thought and action to keep Bhutan clean and commit ourselves to manage our own waste rather than keeping for others to do it for us!!!

This is just my opinion.
