Climate Change and Health in Bhutan PDF Print E-mail
Tiempo Publication #17Based on the exploratory study on climate change and diseases sensitive to climate change in Bhutan by RSPN in 2006, an article got published in Tiempo issue no 71.
The article highlights the main impacts of climate change on the health of the population of Bhutan. With expected rise in morbidity and mortality from extreme weather and climate events and an expansion of vector-borne and water-related diseases, it considers the need of the timely health sector's primary role in emergency preparedness for damage control and participation in every area vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
