As the nation prepares to celebrate the coronation of His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and 100 years of Monarchy, the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Royal Society for Protection of Nature declares November 1st as “Clean Bhutan Day”. The day will be observed to ensure a Clean Bhutan and an atmosphere of purity during the auspicious coronation of His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and to inspire individuals and communities to collectively participate and contribute to a “Clean Bhutan” at the time of this occasion and thereafter.
However, for this year, the event will be organized on 28th October to enable us to prepare for the forthcoming grand celebrations across the Kingdom. |
