IPEN Toxics-Free SDGs Campaign Phase 2. No Toxics Plastics for Children (BPA analysis)
The project aimed to increase awareness of consumers, policy makers and the public about the presence of toxics chemicals in plastics to support regulatory controls on hazardous chemicals adopted nationally and internationally. This will be achieved through generation of data on chemical additives found in plastic children’s products and the production and release of data.
Conducted Bisphenol A (BPA) analysis in plastic childrens products and generated data on chemical additives found in these products viz. Baby feeding bottles and sippy cups. This would enable relevant agencies to take up necessary interventions on the plastic childrens products imported from foreign countries.
